The Northwich Gyratory experimental one way system has now been fully operational for one month.
Since its implementation, the scheme is being closely monitored and slight amendments are being made to the layout and the signals timings to improve the traffic flows around the town.
The close monitoring of the scheme will continue over the 12-month trial period and further modifications will be made if it is considered beneficial.
Councillor Lynn Riley, Executive Member for Community and Environment, said: “This trial scheme has seen a major change to traffic movements in Northwich and we are pleased that the system seems to be settling down. I would like to thank all road users, residents and businesses for their patience and understanding over the last four weeks.
“It is hoped that the gyratory system will play a vital role as part of the future regeneration of Northwich town centre and will ultimately help reduce congestion around the town.”
