Managing flood risk in Northwich

Northwich-Riverside-The Environment Agency will be in Northwich town centre library on Thursday 8th May, Friday 9th May and Saturday 10th May 2014 to give people information about the proposed new flood defences for the town centre.

We will have a stand in the foyer of the library where staff from the Environment Agency will be available to answer questions and provide further information about the flood defences, which are currently being designed.

People will also be able to find out what the flood risk is on their street and learn more about the things they can do to protect their families, homes and businesses.

The Environment Agency and Cheshire West & Chester Council have secured over £4 million to build the flood defences that will reduce the risk of flooding to around 700 local homes and businesses.

Please come along to the stand on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, which will be open between 10am and 5pm, or contact Claire Nicholls at the Environment Agency on 01925 542434 or email claire.nicholls@environment-agency.gov.uk
