Ambitious plans for the regeneration of Northwich

Barons Quay, Northwich

Cheshire West and Chester Council has ambitious plans for the regeneration of Northwich, transforming Northwich’s Barons Quay into a vibrant quarter where people can ship, enjoy leisure time, socialize and work.

Barons Quay is the first and most important development priority, underpinning Northwich’s future growth and prosperity.

The Barons Quay Development Framework was officially launched at a public meeting on Tuesday 19th July 2011 and is a tremendous opportunity to initiate the regeneration of Northwich.

Cheshire West and Chester Council and the Weaver Valley Partnership have been working on the plans and now want the public’s views. The proposals are for more than 300,000 square feet of shopping space, leisure and social space along with a multiplex cinema, restaurants, cafes and public realm spaces.

An exhibition of the draft plans and artists’ impressions can be viewed at the Memorial Hall and Northwich Information Centre until the end of August 2011. Comment forms are available at both locations.
